I cannot wait for this movie, it will be epic. And my anticipation is nothing compared to that of my wife, she’s all but started counting down the days already.
That’s what we need here, a countdown calender! Let’s put a request in to The Hobbit Team for a countdown calender! Of course that might get a little stressful. I wouldn’t want someone coming into my work and putting up a big countdown calender for my big deadlines! Keep up the great work Team! Looking forward to it!
They have one on aslanscountry.com (a Narnia/Hobbit website). You can grab it as a widget.
Here’s the link: http://www.aslanscountry.com/countdown/?v=0224e&onEnterFrame=%5Btype+Function%5D
I’m actually a Narnia fan, and it is partly the reason why I watched LOTR. It kinda gave me a love of fantasy films. Now I’m a LOTR fan! I heard that the copyright or something like that for Narnia expired and quite a few companies are “battling” for Narnia. Does Warner Bros own Narnia now? That would be really cool!
You can read all about it here: http://www.narniaweb.com/narnia-4/
Basically, the earliest a new Narnia movie could start production is 2014. Then it takes a whole bunch of negotiations, casting, filming, etc. It will be a very long time if another Narnia movie is released. But we have The Hobbit coming out now! Narnia’s cool but The Hobbit/LOTR is AWESOME!
Awesome! Yeah for the present I’m more excited about the Hobbit! This is going to be so cool!!! I actually want to be in the Silver Chair if they do that one next.
Unfortunately I have absolutely no acting experience, lol!
I think I accidentally spoke with too much confidence in another Narnia film up there. It’s not even definite that another company will want to make more movies. The last two didn’t do so well at the box office. C.S. Lewis’ stepson, Douglas A. Gresham, really wants more movies to be made, but it would probably be a very long time if it happens.
I really liked the later two. The first one is my favorite actually but I also liked The Voyage a lot too. And I love Reepicheep!
We can talke Narnia here if you want: http://www.narniafans.com/forum/member.php?u=19416
actually, here’s better: http://www.narniafans.com/archives/12411#comments it’s a Narnia website.
Cool thanks. I love Narnia but I actually love LOTR better! I noticed that in the Battle of Helm’s Deep the orcs used some Greek strategy but I forget what its called. Its so cool though! I think that was my favorite battle. I wish I could have seen my face watching Shelob the spider for the first time (I hate spiders, ick!) lol
Yeah my brother told me about that formation. I just looked it up and found on wikipedia that its called a a Testudo formation. Testudo means tortoise!
yeah, that’s it! you mean when they were marching in with the shields on all sides, right? kind of like a metal caterpillar! LOTR is sooooooo cool!
You can make one yourself here:

Cool! I have mine running
Ooh awesome!
I’m Counting down too!!!
These images are so inspiring and they really get me excited for this December!

yes, the perfection of the Jackson team.
hey, the new pictures are awesome of gandalf and bilbo and peter jackson
I CAN NOT wait for the Hobbit to come out!!! I just watched Lord of the Rings for the first time in January and I LOVED it!!! I’m watching it again already. I’ve been watching this blog like crazy so glad they posted again! This is going to be SO AWESOME!!!
Congratulations and welcome to Middle-earth! Have you read the books? If not, I recommend reading at least The Hobbit before December 14th. I am really excited for the movie because it’s been my favorite book since I was really young!
I haven’t read the books yet but I definitely intend to!
YES you should read the hobbit its amazing and i acualy think it’s better than the lord of the rings books, but i’m only halfway through the two towers!
By the way, I love the dwarfs!
My favorite Lord Of The Rings quote is “You know nothing of the stubbornness of dwarfs!” Gimli is my favorite character. This is going to be so awesome!
Ya gimli is AWESOME!! But even though he’s cool I still like legolas TONS better….I’m so glad Peter is putting him in this movie…and gimli and legolas make a GREAT team lol
Yeah, DwarVes = awesomeness. Another great quote is “There’s plenty for the both of us, may the best dwarf win!” when he’s talking to Legolas.
yeah or when Legolas kills the Oliphant and Gimli says: That STILL only counts as one!
Oh my gosh I LOVE that quote! I was like, laughing hysterically! lol
ya i like gimli too, but my favorite charectors are sam and legolas, especially sam!!!!
I love all the characters! I also like the quote
“I’ve got the eye of the hawk and the ear of the fox–” “The dwarf spoke so loud we could have shot him in the dark!” Everything Gimli says is so funny!
Nice, but I´ve seen most of these already… another video would be fine
But thanks anyway
Amazing! I can’t wait!
Looks so good!
Proud to be from Antrim
This makes me so happy! Thank you so much Peter Jackson for making The Hobbit the right way.
In my opinion The hobbit is alot better then the the lord of the rings trilogy and makes me shiver thinking about watching the hobbit movie… I just hope it lives up to my high standers after reading the book for the gazilioned time. If anyone can do it it’s Peter and hes crew. Hope we get to see some of Iarwain Ben-adar this time:)
This is the first time I’ve heard of this iarwain person…can someone tell me who she/he is? I don’t remember him/her from the books…
Never mind…duh!…Tom! Sorry
For when another production video?
Looking good!
Please post a video!
These pictures are great but another video would be nice!!!thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A second teaser trailer should be coming out soon, yes?
Hopefully! That’d be cool.
Yeah!
Please do not make The Hobbit or movies look like video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crpsTp-sHT0 i love pete, call me !
This is so great! Thank youuuu!! =D
very nice, thanks for sharing.
wow i loved it, can’t wait for the movie to be out already.
Do you have a virtual casting? As a person with another country may fall winning ticket in your film?=)
Hey it looks like my wishes for this movie are coming true… I was very displeased, although like everybody pretty at awe, with the LOTR saga end result. It was a lot about the effects and the hype, it seemed, and not so much about the romanticism and mystic of middle earth. This film seems to put things back in order, as it reminds me of the animated LOTR movie from 1978. Thank you Peter Jackson.
What?! LOTR is the best movie I ever saw! I never REALLY felt that I was actually IN the characters’ world while watching a movie, but when I saw LOTR it was like I forgot I was just watching a movie. It was awesome! I want to act someday so I can make someone feel the same way about a movie. It’s soooooo awesome!!!
the animated lotr movie from 1978 is rated as one of the WORST fantasy films ever, so no offense, but I very much hope that it WON´T be like that movie. The LOTR trilogy is perfect, I think that the romanticism and mystic of Middle Earth is the most important thing in the whole movie, not the special effects, which are so good you don´t even notice them while watching…
does anyone knoe where i can find a cheap replica of gandalf the greys staff?
I’m a french fan of tolkien and the midlle earth. I love the film the lord of the ring(i’ts my favourite film). I’m very happy for the movie adaptation of bilbo the hobbit. I wait with impatience is output, but i would like too a film about the first ring war and the death of Sauron.
AND A BIG THANK FOR PETER JACKSON AND ALL FILM TEAM!!!!!
Awesomeeeee!!! THE HOBBIT!! CAN EXPECT THE FUTURE HIGH GROSSING MOVIEEE….
Hi everybody, I want to have a Hobbit/LotR themed birthday anyone got any ideas? btw is between the 12-14 age group
What a pity!
We do not have any access to the photos taken during production of these films.
how I would love to have all pictures in HD :/
even at the end of production or after the movie release, we never don’t have access to any pictures.
and if it does, it’s always only some low pictures :/
can you share or sell all picture which you doing ?
thx ya!
I’ve been watching The Lord of the Rings trilogy ever since I can remember… My dad loved them, and me and him used to watch them together. I used to have nightmares about the Nazgul… They made me so uncomfortable as a kid, and actually still kind of do. I’ve never read the books until very recently. I finished The Hobbit, and moved on to The Fellowship of the Ring. The books have so much more information than the movies, and a lot of gaps were filled in. I’m also gonna watch the trilogy again before The Hobbit comes out. Plan on seeing it in IMAX 3D on the day it premieres.
