New Zealand Herald interview with Peter Jackson

With just a few weeks until the second Hobbit movie reaches theaters, and the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra finalising the score, Peter Jackson sits for a long chat with The New Zealand Herald. Read it here.

  1. Thank you so much, for the fact that you have putt so much time, energy and feeling in all these movies. It is for this reason that all these movies feel different than so many other blockbusters. These works of art are created with a lot of feeling, and attention to detail by so many different artists on many different planes. These are films to treasure, thank you!regards, Nico

  2. Smaug’s not a psychopath… he’s a high functioning sociopath. Do your research.
    …Oh wait, wrong franchise.

  3. I love the soundtracks from LOTR and The Hobbit! Can’t wait to hear the newest ones!! 🙂

  4. Brooke The HOBBIT says:

    I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE YOU PETER JACKSON!!!!!!!!!
You are my idol and my INSPIRATION!!

  5. I wanted to share with this community that today six new species of wasps from New Zealand have just been described in a scientific journal today. The new wasps have the names of 5 hobbits and Tolkien. What is more, they all belong to a new genus (a higher grouping of living things) that is also exclusive from New Zealand, and that was named itself after the Shire. The whole story is explained, in easy-to-understand language in a blog post about wasps (http://cncbraconidae.blogspot.ca/2013/10/concerning-hobbits-and-microgastrinae.html). I though that you might be interested in passing this information to all fans of Tolkien work. These new wasp species are honouring both the amazing wild nature of New Zealand, and the master pieces that are The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. What is more, the scientist involved in the study plan to name more wasp species after other characters of the Tolkien universe, as well as actors/producers of the movies. We plan to do that in future papers to be published soon.
I hope you find this story of interest. Thank you very much,
Jose (a scientist and fan of Tolkien/Jackson in Ottawa, Canada).

  6. p.g, u r wonderful
    thanks for every things

  7. bonjour question en apparte pourriez vous continuer l aventure en terre du milieu avec le silmarilion please

  8. Apparently no one has actually read any of Tolkiens work. Jackson has completely twisted and made a mockery out of one of the greatest literary gifts mankind has ever received. Tolkien built the fantasy genre and in six films Jackson has completely dismantled it.
