  11. Carol Beasy says:

This movie definitely deserves a nomination for best movie. I hope that it wins the categories for which it has been nominated. I never cease to marvel at Peter Jackson’s immense talent, and the team he has gathered around him for this trilogy also deserve huge accolades. Exclellent casting, as usual. Cant wait for the third movie. Good Luck Pete!

  12. Thomas Sigwalt says:

I have never enjoyed a movie series quite as much as the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Now that the Hobbit is coming to the last movie in its trilogy I am starting to wonder which series I enjoyed more. Once the final movie is released I am confident that the decision will be much easier than it is now.

Here is some fan art that I found online. worth a look.

  13. future filmmaker says:

I’m thinking Best Actor: Martin Freeman.

    • No, it’s Ian McKellen. But I think Lee Pace should get the award for best supporting actor, he was brilliant as Thranduil.

      • Kiwi at heart says:

you are right, Lee Pace did a smashing good job as Thranduil, he totally deserves it. But nobody had mentioned Benedict Cumberbatch as smaug, you do realise that he had never done MoCap before right? Of course maybe i’m a little biased coz I’m Sherlocked… Either way both Lee and Benedict rule. nough said.

    • straightlines says:

      hell no….

  14. Great news! I love The Hobbit more than LOTR trilogy.

  15. I really would love tickets to part 3 I just cannot wait

  16. Guys!!! I’m listening polish radio now. And there is “I see fire”!! Congratulations PJ’s team :)

    • Speak at the moment what a station!
Since I do not know when I’m looking for I see fire in Polish radio and I can not find it!
      I love this song! :)

  17. Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, and Best Visual Effects…each an esteemed and coveted Oscar. What an honor that our Hobbit was chosen for these out of all the lesser Oscar nominations.

  21. I love these movies so much! I’m a huge fan of Lord of the Rings, too and it’s just amazing how realistic Middle Earth looks. The films should get at least best music, best director and best screenplay. Plus visual editing. Can’t wait until december. Great work!

  22. Ed Sheeran should’ve been nominated with I See Fire

  23. Who needs the Oscars? Hobbit is simply the best. I cannot compare it with other movies. Really.
