Peter Jackson takes you behind the scenes of the making of THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG in this new video blog.
You should upload here first then on Facebook
Omg I can’t wait till December! Just forget comic con and make the movie glorious!!!! 3D baby coming at ya!!!!!
When is the next video blog coming out?!
I wish there were more of these, I can’t wait for the film!!!
Another video blog.In the middle of the year,,,,
Jeebus! At last! I was dying for another one!
Thanks you Peter Jackson and crew! This made my day!
Mine too ( i could´t stop laughing) great job cast and crew with doing this movies/ these movies.
Thank you Peter !
Yes. So cool!
Just what it takes to make these movies is just amazing.. The sets, the technology.. wow! Thanks Peter and Guys for the insights..
I’m impressed by these!
Awesome! You don’t by any chance still need extra elves…?
actually I am going to stay away from these from now on. They spoil the magic. Well Legolas can make a fool of himself if he must, but not the Hobbit-cast, before I’ve seen the movies….
Something I don’t get – looking at the trailer for next hobbit movie; it seems like SO different from the first hobbit movie. In a good way! More rich, play with words and simply a different way to tell the story.
YES!!! SO True!!!!
Is it true that mr. Jackson is making a third movie? If so then how would he link all of the stories between the two tales(the hobbit and the lord of the rings)? Tolkien wrote middle -earth like as if he lived there. In my opinion, they should be about two stories linked in one like the lord of the rings.after all it is like he wrote similar cultural myths from aincient europe together like the nibillung and morte’darthur.
legolas is a proper geezer
yes I have been waiting forever for this
Wohooo they are back…. <3<3
I really appreciate all these blogs that you give us. I’ve never seen a crew and director so open to sharing all of this. You all inspire me as a very amateur film maker. I can’t wait until this movie comes it!!!
Thanks for the blog. . . I love it when ya’ll do those! I wish I could be there sooooo much! Keep it up (I know you will. . .). I can’t wait until December!!!
Thanx for new video!

Loved the new blog, can’t wait for new production video and movie!!!!!! It’s gonna be AWESOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Peter!
i cant wait to 13 december of the desolation of smaug !!!!!!!!!
i am the GREATEST FAN !!!!!!!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this video blog! It’s a great “taste” of what’s to come and, for me anyway, doesn’t take away from any of the magic of the movie. In fact, it makes me appreciate how hard it is to make it look so easy!
Thank you for making these movies Peter Jackson and everyone involved!
FInally got around to watching this, and glad I watched it without the kids first.
Can anyone get through to Mr. Jackson (a creative dynamo we otherwise admire tremendously) that there are a lot of kids watching these vlogs with their parents, and some of the odd tidbits of language and Orlando B’s description of “popping his cherry” /sexual innuendos about being on the green screen animal mount with Tauriel there, and things like that are a serious turnoff to mums and dads with kids they hope to share all of this with in good fun and the magic of it all. That kind of thing for families is like bits of cat poo in a pan of otherwise delicious fresh chocolate brownies.
Thanks for listening.
For making the “unfilmable”.
For taking the proverbial can of worms, and presenting it as the most beautiful bouquet of flowers that has ever been, and probably ever will be arranged.
I hope you will expand on the content released with the discs once the trilogy is out. Namely, I would love to see an extended edition of ‘The Hobbit’. I know that you have reams of content that could make the final cut for an extended edition and I just hope that you take the time to build it out. The retrospectives in the extended edition of ‘The Lord of the Rings’ are great. I am of course talking about the ‘making of’ documentaries it that wasn’t clear. Please! Please! think about it. It would be a fantastic legacy to the lives of the people involved in this great work.
Good way to keep the interest up by not keeping th blogs coming? I fear I will miss the next movie in december in the mix of all other huge movies which will premiere around Christmas and that is a shame as I think of myself as a “believer” both in the world of Tolkien and in the world of Jackson!
ooooooooooooooo i love it
