  2. Ze vait eez over… or ‘az eet just begun… Dec 13, I yearn for you

  3. LegolasPippin says:

Woohoo! I just got the blu-ray version and I love the movie, although it is a little disappointing that the special features are just the production videos. I’ve already seen ’em all!

  4. LOTR nerd :) says:

I’m still waiting to see if there’s going to be a box set

  5. What’s up with the stupid anti-smoking propaganda at the end of the DVD? When a film finishes I want THE FILM to be in my head for a while. NOT some naggy message about what I should or shouldn’t do. I guess I have to start shutting the player off before the credits end so I don’t have to get lectured.

  6. Does anyone have any information on whether there will be a collector’s box like each of the LOTR films?

  7. Well ! but I prefer to wait the extended version 🙂

  8. Digital download is UltraViolet ONLY! Very disappointing, especially from such a major movie studio. UltraViolet stopped giving out iTunes codes via their support line, so now you are stuck with their service. As an iTunes user, I prefer to keep all my digital copies in my library and don’t want to have to maintain two libraries. A lot of other movie companies are now distributing digital downloads with codes that work for both iTunes and UltraViolet. They finally got it, WB needs to follow suit along with everyone else.

  9. Jonny Pfahl says:

It’s unfortunate that the box set does not include the iTunes digital copy. I have had horrific experience with UltraViolet, and I refuse to purchase any movie that supports it. This is a huge shame, as I love “The Hobbit” and wish to add it to my collection. Maybe by the time all three films come out a proper set will be released, assuming WB doesn’t muck it up like they did Harry Potter.

  10. Elistariel says:

I’m disappointed with the blu-ray dvd combo packs. The special features are blue-ray only and I only have a dvd player. I got the combo pack for the store-special. There is NO indication on the cover that the special features are blu-ray only. None. The store wouldn’t take it back either.
    Blu-Ray… never again.

  11. Thranduil says:

    Cant wait to get.

  12. Pero para que fiesta estara disponible la version extendida?

  13. Morimura says:

Love this film (and others of LOTR) but Tolkien wouldn’t be agree with that anti-smoking pseudomoral propaganda at the credits. Tokien was a die-hard fan of smoking grass and his beautiful characters did smoke too (not only Gandalf).
Once again, thank you for all your great work with this material, i can’t wait for the Desolation of Smaug.

  14. “The March home entertainment release will be followed by an Extended Edition available just in time for the holidays.”

    I can’t wait!

  15. People, go and vote for Bilbo at the MTV Movie Awards!!!!!!!

We can’t let the Twilight girl beat Bilbo Baggins!!
