For those unable to attend the San Diego Comic Con now underway, here’s a peek at some Trolls we found at the WETA booth.

- HOBBIT Trolls 2

- Riddles in the Dark: Special Comic-Con Edition | Mythgard Institute - [...] The trolls, who dominated Weta’s convention space…literally [...]

Very cool! Hopefully we will get to see the few minutes of film that they show at the Con!
i cant find it anywhere.. apparently they didnt let anybody film, but with 6500 people, I find it very hard to believe that some people did not film it. I want to see it so bad. Ill keep looking
I have looked too Danny. I have read online that everyone who was at the panel had to sign an NDA( non disclosure agreement)before going in. So the 12 and a half minutes of film we probably won’t get to see. They also showed production video #8 at the panel, and I am very surprised they haven’t added that to this website as of yet!
Now imagine if they came alive…
lol!
I’m sure one of those is the splitting image of my brother through
This is soooo cool, cant wait for the Hobbit to come
very big and real
Yeah, bro, it’s so realistic. Looks just like real-life trolls.
That’s really great!
AWESOME!!!! Going on this site is like Christmas!
SO AWESOME!!!
haha can’t wait to see the trolls in the movie!
lol can’t wait!
In the Fellowship of the Ring the extended edition you actually get your first glimpse of Bilbo’s Trolls as they are referred in the Shire. They changed them slightly it seems, but they are vaguely positioned the same way and are close enough to ignore, I cant wait to see how it turns out on the big screen.
yea, i love that part! I like to puase the computer or tv when im watching the troll scene!
Those look amazing. Love how they are twice the size of the people in the first picture!
Look great!! Even with all the buzz TKDR, can hardly wait for epic-like Hobbit!
Looking forward to The Hobbit, both parts. I’m a Tolkien fan ever since I first heard of him (’50′s?).
Ah. So these are the people who leave unpleasant comments on YouTube. Figures.
Peter, please post the last production blog. I need it like a drug. I’m in my living room on the floor, grasping for air.
These guys look really cool – from the tiny clip I saw of them in the trailer, I thought they were going to be more akin to the cave troll, but I see these guys actually have more personality – very nice, thanks for sharing!!
Oh, and yes… Please post the new production video! We WANTS IT, Precious!
It has been a full week and still no on-line COMICCON footage. Not very sporting P.J.
This is a brilliant life size creation! So cool
I can’t wait to hear what their voices sound like!
When will you come to Brazil to disclose?
Daaaannnngg! Epicness.
Three movies gleaned from one book? Are you kidding me? This extending of the single book to three whole movies is as shameless profiteering as I’ve ever seen. I’ll wait until all three are on video before I see any of them.
“Troll” Epic is epic, LOL
Heard these Trolls were manufactured in China & not at Weta in New Zealand.
they look a bit different than the ones from the fellowship of the ring (extended version). unless, this is how they look before turning to stone
I love The Lord of the Rings and I can’t wait to the new movie!
me neither!!!
can’t beleive it happened on my birthday!!! wish i knew about it on my birthday, though!!!
lol grt..would’ve freaked the crowd out if they were animatronics and made a small quick moves now and then!
now weve got hobbit. whats next?
